All songs in the album, It Begins..., were completely written and performed by Jennie "Pyro" Doomsday and Johnny "FlameHead" Doomsday. Pyro and FlameHead also produced the album in the studio. Jason Rufuss Sewell co-produced "Not So Un-insane", "Quicksand", and "The Battle" with Pyro.
Pyro and FlameHead began recording It Begins... in December 2006, when Pyro was 17 and FlameHead was 13. The album was mastered in March 2007, and released on June 6, 2007.
